Do you need an account to play the geography games?

No, the games are free and played without an account. Records are saved in the browser, for each game, zone and number of questions. A free account is optional; it adds other features of the site, such as the Elo ranking.

How many questions and points does a round have?

A round has ten questions by default, with the choice of twenty, fifty or All questions in the zone. The choices of twenty and fifty only appear if the zone has enough questions. Each correct answer earns 10 points, so 100 points for ten questions. The hint halves the points, and "I don't know" skips the question.

Can you answer in French, English, Italian or Spanish?

Yes. Capitals and flags are accepted in all four languages, under their usual spellings. Accents, capital letters and articles do not count, and a small typing mistake is tolerated when you validate with the Enter key, for an answer of at least six letters.

Can you play on a single continent?

Yes. The games can be played on one continent or across the whole world. For countries, you can choose Europe, Africa, Asia, North and Central America, South America or Oceania, and the 193 UN countries form the base for capitals, countries and flags.

Fifteen games to learn the world, on one continent or the whole planet

The geography games bring together fifteen games in four families: capitals, countries on the map, flags, and relief and waters. The world capitals quiz, the flag quiz game or the countries on the map game can be played on one continent or across the whole world. A round has ten questions by default, and you can choose twenty, fifty or All, which means every question in the zone. You play without an account, directly in the browser.

The aim is to learn capitals, where countries are, and the main physical landmarks, such as mountains, seas and oceans, or rivers. Capitals and flags are accepted in all four languages, and the hint halves the points when you need it. You progress by beating your record, which is saved in the browser for each game, each zone and each number of questions. These games suit pupils revising, as well as curious people who want to learn the world step by step.

How to play

Choose a family: capitals, countries on the map, flags, or relief and waters.
