Capitals on the map
A country appears: click the map where its capital is. A click inside the capital's zone counts as correct.
10 countries per game, 100 points at most: 10 points for each click inside the capital's zone.
Find each capital in its zone, by clicking on the map
Placing the capital on the map means knowing where cities are, not just their names. A country appears, and you click on the map where its capital is. The game is played on one zone or across the whole world, and suits pupils learning geography as well as curious people who want to locate capitals without reading them from a list.
A round has ten countries by default, with the choice of twenty, fifty or All capitals in the zone. A click within the radius around the capital earns 10 points, and a click outside earns 0. This radius goes from 150 km in Europe to 500 km across the whole world, and it is wider when the zone is large. A hint highlights the country and halves the points. After each answer, the game says "Inside the zone" or "Outside the zone" and, outside the zone, shows the distance in kilometers.
How to play
- Choose a zone, for example Europe, or the whole world, then start the round.
- Read the name of the country shown and click on the map where its capital is.
- Read the points earned and, if the click is outside the zone, the distance in kilometers shown at the end of the question.
- Use the hint if needed, which highlights the country but halves the points.
